ASQBaltimore.org Webfeed Information - Questions

Why do I care that ASQ Baltimore's website has a webfeed ?

The webfeed allows the user to get notifications of news or website updates as they occur. No email lists to maintain, and you can find out what pages / information has changed without looking throughout the entire site. You won't have to check the website regularly, as we will let you know when changes occur.

Think of this as combining the "What's New page" with your favorite bookmarks.

What is ASQ Baltimore's webfeed address ?
The web feed address is http://www.asqbaltimore.org/asq0502.rss -- we may add other channels, depending on the interest. The second feed is the Jobseekers feed: http://www.asqbaltimore.org/jobseekers.rss .
What alternative is there to a webfeed ?
You can constantly review the website on a regular basis (including all of the pages underneath the main site). There are also a number of websites that will provide you with web page changes. See the section below for a review of these.
What does RSS stand for ?
In general it stands for Really Simple Syndication.
What if I don't want to use the Web Feed ?
You don't need to. You can monitor the web site yourself for changes or use Internet Explorer or Firefox to just look at the new links. Alternatively, you can use other web sites or software packages to get notification of web page changes (see Karen Blakeman's Web Page monitoring page).
I want more detail (because I am a masochist) on RSS. Can I get some further information ?
