FAQ JobSeekers
JobSeekers Frequently Asked Questions for Job Seekers
Are these all of the quality jobs in the area ?
No, these are only the jobs sent to the Jobseekers Program or found through referral or research. If you are seriously looking for a job, a wide variety of resources and advice are available on the Jobseekers Website.
As any well-informed job seekers should know, jobs posted through the “classifieds” or online are usually a small proportion of the jobs that are generally available within a given area. Numerous articles on the job search and networking are available on the Jobseekers website.
Are these jobs only in the local Baltimore area ?
In general, the jobs cover a range in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Northwest Maryland, Annapolis and Baltimore areas. If a partner or recruiter wishes to place an posting, or there is a particular request that may be useful, then it may be added.
In general, this website is trying to maintain a local job bank. Our members can use the other links located on this site to expand their search nationally or to a different particular region.
How do I receive regular job notifications ?
Please see the FAQ for Subscriptions.
If you wish to receive notice that the Jobseekers website has been updated, then use the Jobseekers RSS feed http://www.asqbaltimore.org/jobseekers/feed/ to get notifications when information on the Jobseekers website changes.
Can I find the job listings in the Jobseekers Information Packet on the website ?
The job listings in the Jobseekers Information Packet that were provided only in the packet PDF file are no longer available at the ASQ Baltimore website. The packet has been completely replaced by this website and listings are posted to the JobSeekers website instead for easy access and review.
The Jobseekers Information Packet is large to download, can we see only the latest jobs posted ?
This may have been the case in the past, but the packet has been replaced by this fully interactive website, which allows easier and more timely access to the information that once was in the packet. The latest jobs are posted on the site by date, which also allows to to pick and choose which jobs to review.
A feature that will hopefully be implemented in the website is the ability to create PDF files of a particular job posting for you to download or email.
Why should I use this service instead of ABC or XYZ ?
You shouldn’t. This service should be one of the many tools a job seeker should use to look for a new job. This is a service that is available to our members of ASQ Baltimore. Please keep up on reading the articles available and check out the other resources for assistance.
Where can I submit my resume ?
Can I provide a resume to JobSeekers ?
Does ASQ Baltimore offer a Resume Bank ?
ASQ Baltimore does not offer a resume bank, although ASQ performs a similar service.

JobSeekers is not a job service or a recruiting agency. JobSeekers is a program to help quality personnel find jobs or manage their careers. It cannot find a job for you. If you review the entire website, check out the resources and read up on the articles posted, you will be ready to begin/continue your job search or ready to manage your career.
If you are still having problems after this, then maybe you need more basic assistance in finding a job. Maryland state has a great workforce training program / Job Assistance program for Maryland residents. Please go to the Links » Job Assistance section of this website or your local library for more help.
Are there other ASQ Sections that offer similar services ?
See the Links » Sections page to view the other, nearby ASQ Section websites. The services provided by other Sections are managed by the individual sections and may be different in scope than ASQ 0502 JobSeekers.
Can I help the Jobseekers program ?
Right now, passing on jobs or useful articles to fill out the postings/listings is the biggest help the program can use today.
If you wish to work on the website as a tester/contributor, please email and we can talk.
