Next Dinner Meeting – Section Business at Snyders

(Mar 9, 2010) The Society, the Region, and the Section

J. Eric Whichard, ASQ Region 05 Regional Director (RD), will present an overview of the current state of the Society, the Region, and the Section, including objectives and plans, initiatives and programs, performance metrics, and composition (demographics). Please join us and take this opportunity to learn more about your Society, Region, and Section, ask questions, and provide feedback.

Eric is a member and Past Chair of the Baltimore Section. He has also been one of the region’s Deputy Regional Directors (DRDs). As Regional Director he meets periodically with directors of the other 18 North America geographic regions (collectively the Section Affairs Council — the SAC), directors of the Divisions (the DAC), Society officers and members of the Board of Directors, and other representatives of the Society. The SAC also meets monthly (by phone conference). In these contexts, Eric represents the Region, its Sections, their leaders and members as strategic and operational matters relating to all levels of the organization are reviewed, discussed, and decided. In order to be an effective representative, the RD needs to keep Section leaders / members in the loop, and receive their reaction, feedback, etc. Eric’s presentation (including Q&A) is designed to be an opportunity for just such two-way communication. Please plan to attend, and provide him the benefit of YOUR input.

About the Tutorial:

Covering the Certification journal, changes in the submission process, questions answered and problems with the process will be covered.
